Event Information
About the NCSAA 5k Run / Walk:
The 8th Annual NCSAA 5k Run / Walk features a new format this year! No matter where you live, you can participate in this year's event -- to support the work of NCSAA and compete and fundraise alongside others from across the country. (For those who enjoy our local event, you can still participate in that.)
Option 1: Local Participant
If you are a local participant, you will still be eligible to participate in a local event held at Brady's Run Park in Beaver Falls, PA. The event will include a 5k Run / Walk, as well as a 1-Mile Walk (for those walkers who would prefer to not walk the entire 5k). Participants will be eligible for awards and prizes.
We will be keeping in mind protocols and safety measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic...so you can be confident that you can participate in our local event option safely. Though the COVID-19 protocols have necessitated a change to our format this year, we still hope that you will come out to participate -- and to support NCSAA in this much-needed fundraiser to continue to make possible our work of impacting the lives kids, serving schools across the country, and training leaders for the next generation! You will have the option to run EITHER on Wednesday, September 16 (between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM) or Saturday, September 19 (between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM). Shortly after you register for the event, you will be contacted by e-mail -- and you will have the opportunity to sign up for a time slot for your run / walk. Each hour's time slot will allow for a maximum of 10 people to complete their run / walk. (Of course, you're welcome to simply do this on your own time at your own location ... and not be timed and included in the final standings, as well.)
To register for this option, sign up as a "Local Participant". You can choose the Standard option (and pay the entry fee) or the Fundraising option (no entry fee...just set up a fundraising page and ask others to sponsor you to participate - you'll need to raise a minimum of $25).
MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE LOCAL 5K EVENT (on Saturday, September 19) will be available as the event draws closer; we will communicate those directly to all registered participants by e-mail.
Option 2: National Participant
If you don't live in the area, but would like to participate and support the mission and work of NCSAA, you can do so! You will complete your run or walk anytime between September 19 and October 3. You will have the option (but are not required) to have your time include in the "national standings" for the event -- and be eligible for awards and prizes. (If you want to be timed and included in the standings, you'll just need to follow the simple instructions that will be sent to you as the race dates draw closer.) We are very excited to be able to make this a national event this year and include those across the country who care about NCSAA!
To register for this option, sign up as a "National Participant". You can choose the Standard option (and pay the entry fee) or the Fundraising option (no entry fee...just set up a fundraising page and ask others to sponsor you to participate). You also have the option to receive a race t-shirt, if you would like; if so, choose one of the "with T-Shirt" options.
If you attend an NCSAA member school outside of the Beaver Falls area, you can fundraise significantly for your school. Have your school administrator or athletic director contact NCSAA in order to inquire about this option; we do all of the work for you and are happy to offer the NCSAA National 5k to help serve our member schools! (If your school is already registered to participate, just join your school's team when you register.)

All proceeds will benefit the non-profit mission and work of the National Christian School Athletic Association.
We'd greatly appreciate if you'd be willing to register as a fundraising participant to help us reach our $10,000 fundraising goal for this event. It's as simple as sending an e-mail to family and friends, letting them know you'll be participating and would appreciate their support...and you can even send your e-mail right through our automated system!
AGAIN THIS YEAR...a 5k team competition! Put together a team of five or more people who will participate in the 5k. Team scoring is done via cross-country format (each of your team's top five finishers earns points equal to their overall place in the 5k race, and the team with the lowest score wins). Participants are also eligible for individual awards and prizes.
After you register for the event (and within a month of the date of the event), you will receive (by e-mail) additional, detailed instructions regarding race-day details, directions, etc. All local participants that register by September 4 will receive a t-shirt at the local event.
